Social media influencer Adva Lavie remains jailed without bail after Beverly Hills police arrested her on a Riverside County theft warrant, adding another case to the criminal proceedings already surrounding Lavie and her former fiancé, businessman Stephen Cloobeck.

Social media influencer Adva Lavie, also known as Mia Ventura, remains jailed without bail following her arrest by Beverly Hills police on a Riverside County warrant tied to a separate grand theft allegation.

Lavie, 29, was arrested July 28 after Beverly Hills officers encountered her near North Cannon Boulevard and Brighton Way. The Riverside County case stems from an April 2025 incident in Indio, where prosecutors allege Lavie stole an $8,600 Rolex, Louis Vuitton sunglasses and a Louis Vuitton cardholder from a man she was visiting during the Coachella festival period.

Authorities also allege Lavie had removed a court-ordered GPS ankle monitor required while she awaited trial in Los Angeles County. A judge ordered her held without bail, and on Aug. 10, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Diego H. Edber denied a defense request to place her in a mental health diversion program.

Lavie already faces six felony counts in Los Angeles County. Prosecutors allege that between 2023 and 2025 she used dating apps and online relationships to gain access to homes in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Westlake Village and Los Angeles before stealing cash, gold and luxury items. She has pleaded not guilty. If convicted on all counts, she faces up to 11 years and eight months in state prison.

The case has also become connected to businessman Stephen Cloobeck, Lavie's former fiancé and a former California gubernatorial candidate. Cloobeck was arrested in May and charged with three felony counts involving alleged attempts to dissuade witnesses in Lavie's case, along with a misdemeanor count related to allegedly harassing telephone calls. He pleaded not guilty Aug. 7 and remains free on $300,000 bond.

Cloobeck ended his own campaign for governor in November 2025 and endorsed then-U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell for governor. Swalwell stayed at Cloobeck's Beverly Hills home multiple times during the campaign before their political relationship collapsed in April amid sexual assault and misconduct allegations against Swalwell.

Swalwell denied the allegations, withdrew from the governor's race and resigned from Congress on April 14. Cloobeck also withdrew his support and publicly said he had told Swalwell to leave his home.

The charges against Lavie and Cloobeck remain allegations. Both have pleaded not guilty in their respective cases.
