2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use our Platform. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using our Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.
- You agree not to impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including articles, graphics, videos, branding, trademarks, and logos — is owned or licensed by The Beverly Hills Standard and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, distribute, modify, or reproduce any content without express permission.
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Submitted content (comments, images, etc.) remains your intellectual property, but you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and promote it on our platform.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Harass, threaten, or defame any person or entity
- Upload or distribute harmful code or viruses
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or networks
- Post spam, scams, or fraudulent material
We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Advertising & Sponsored Content
Some articles or areas of our Platform may contain sponsored content, native advertising, or affiliate links. These will be clearly labeled. We may receive compensation for such content, but we maintain editorial independence and integrity in all journalism.
7. Subscriptions & Paid Services
If you subscribe to any paid service, you agree to provide accurate billing information and to pay all associated fees. Paid subscriptions may be offered through Stripe (web) and Apple In-App Purchase (iOS), and each provider may have its own billing terms and cancellation flow.
- Auto-renewal: Monthly and annual plans renew automatically until canceled.
- Managing Stripe subscriptions: Stripe-managed subscriptions can be canceled before renewal and can be reactivated (auto-renew resumed) before the current period ends.
- Managing Apple subscriptions: Apple-managed subscriptions must be managed in your Apple account subscription settings, subject to Apple’s policies.
- Account deletion with active paid subscription: If you delete your account while a paid subscription is active, you authorize us to terminate paid access as part of account deletion.
- No refunds on deletion: Deleting your account forfeits any remaining paid subscription term, and no partial-period or prorated refund will be issued unless required by law.
- Provider terms: Payment processing and certain billing functions are handled by third-party providers (Stripe and Apple) and are also subject to their terms and conditions.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
We provide our Platform “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The content will be accurate, complete, or current
- The Platform will be secure or free of viruses or harmful components
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Platform — including but not limited to loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Beverly Hills Standard, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance. The latest version will always be accessible on this page with a “Last Updated” date.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
