The Beverly Hills Firefighters Association has endorsed Mayor Sharona Nazarian and Beverly Hills Board of Education member Russell Stuart in the upcoming Beverly Hills City Council race, giving both candidates support from one of the city’s key public safety groups.
In backing Nazarian, the association pointed to her record in office and said she has consistently supported firefighters and understood the role they play in protecting the community.
“Mayor Sharona Nazarian has consistently stood up for public safety and has truly proven she understands that behind every call for service are the firefighters who answer it, and that supporting them is essential to protecting this community,” the association said. “Her leadership has reflected that commitment time and time again.”
The group also endorsed Stuart, saying his approach to public safety and city leadership aligned with its priorities.
“Russell Stuart sets a standard that reflects exactly what this community deserves: nothing short of world-class, premier public safety,” said Beverly Hills Firefighters Association President Bruno Palmieri. “We are proud to support a candidate who believes Beverly Hills should lead, not follow, in delivering the highest level of fire, EMS, police, and public service anywhere.”
The dual endorsement, combined with backing from the Beverly Hills Police Officers Association, places both Nazarian and Stuart in a strong position on public safety, one of the central issues in the 2026 Beverly Hills City Council election.
