The Beverly Hills Unified School District launched a redesigned website, featuring a unified calendar, virtual alumni hall of fame, and streamlined navigation to enhance community engagement.

The Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) has rolled out a redesigned website, aiming to strengthen ties with students, parents, and alumni through a modernized digital platform. Launched on August 13, 2025, after a two-month overhaul, the new site at bhusd.org offers streamlined navigation and innovative tools to keep the community informed and connected.

The revamped site, which covers the district and its seven schools, introduces a unified calendar that consolidates all external school events in one place. This feature addresses a common frustration for parents and community members who previously had to navigate multiple sources to stay updated on school activities. The design prioritizes user-friendliness, with a single menu allowing seamless transitions between district and individual school pages.

A standout addition is the BHHS Virtual Alumni Hall of Fame, created in collaboration with the Beverly Hills High School Alumni Association. This online showcase transforms a physical display into an interactive experience, allowing global visitors to explore the accomplishments of notable graduates.

"We designed this website refresh with our community in mind. From a unified calendar to an interactive alumni hall of fame, these features make it easier to find what you need while showcasing the pride and excellence of our district." said Colby Gilardian, BHUSD Public Information Officer.

The rapid completion of the redesign reflects BHUSD’s push to enhance communication in an era where digital access is critical for school districts. The project aligns with broader efforts to modernize educational infrastructure, ensuring families and stakeholders can engage with the district effortlessly. Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss underscored the site’s role in reflecting BHUSD’s standards.

"Our schools deserve a digital presence that reflects the quality of education and opportunity we provide. This launch is a major step forward in making sure our communication tools match the exceptional work happening every day in BHUSD."

The district’s investment in a modernized website comes as schools nationwide face pressure to improve transparency and accessibility. By incorporating feedback mechanisms on each page, BHUSD signals its commitment to refining the platform based on user input, a move that could set a precedent for other districts. The virtual alumni hall, in particular, taps into Beverly Hills’ legacy of producing influential figures, potentially fostering stronger alumni engagement and community pride.

The launch, completed in just eight weeks, highlights BHUSD’s efficiency in executing large-scale projects. While the press release did not disclose costs, the district’s focus on community-driven features suggests a strategic effort to prioritize stakeholder needs. Visitors are encouraged to explore the site and submit feedback via an online form, ensuring the platform evolves with the community it serves.

As Beverly Hills continues to balance tradition with innovation, the redesigned website positions BHUSD as a forward-thinking district, leveraging technology to enhance its connection with residents and beyond.
