The City Council appointed Negar Kamara as a new Traffic and Parking Commissioner, celebrating her commitment to enhancing community infrastructure.

On August 5, 2025, the Beverly Hills City Council appointed Negar Kamara to the Traffic and Parking Commission during its regular meeting, recognizing her as a dedicated community member poised to contribute to the city’s infrastructure and mobility solutions.

Mayor Sharona Nazarian introduced Kamara, emphasizing the vital role of commissioners in serving as the city’s “eyes and ears.” She noted that Kamara’s appointment followed persistent encouragement to apply, reflecting her long-standing engagement with Beverly Hills.

"We are so fortunate to have incredible community members who apply to be on our commission. Our commissions serve as the eyes and ears of our community."

Nazarian said, welcoming Kamara to the role.

Kamara expressed her enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the appointment.

"This is an honor. It’s a privilege to serve and it really takes a village. I am so excited about this."

she stated, underscoring her commitment to serving the community.
