The girls beach volleyball season is officially underway at Beverly Hills High School, with Norman student-athletes taking to the sand and beginning competition along the Southern California coastline.
School officials say this year’s team reflects the strength, determination and unity that have become hallmarks of Beverly Hills High School athletics. Competing in a sport that requires both athletic skill and strong communication, players are expected to demonstrate teamwork, resilience and focus each time they step onto the court.
Beverly Hills High School Principal Loan Sriruksa said the program highlights the character and commitment of the school’s student-athletes.
“We are incredibly proud to spotlight our Norman athletes. Beach volleyball requires not only athletic skill, but communication, trust, and mental resilience. Our players embody all of those qualities while representing Beverly with integrity and pride,” Sriruksa said.
Players on the team balance rigorous academic schedules with competitive athletics, reflecting the school’s motto, “Today Well Lived,” through their dedication in both the classroom and on the court.
District leaders say athletics remain a priority within the Beverly Hills Unified School District, with the Board of Education continuing to emphasize the importance of a strong student-athlete experience. Programs such as beach volleyball are viewed as an important part of developing leadership, discipline, wellness and school pride among students.
Beach volleyball continues to grow in popularity across California high schools, offering student-athletes opportunities to build confidence, collaboration and competitive skills in a dynamic team environment.
The Normans will continue their season this week, with their next match scheduled against Wiseburn Da Vinci High School on March 3. Schedules and updates are available through the Beverly Hills High School athletics website.
