In a heartfelt celebration of achievement, character, and community, Beverly Hills High School hosted its annual Scholarship Night on May 28, spotlighting the Class of 2025’s standout seniors and the enduring generosity of local donors.

Held in the spirit of tradition and hope, the evening brought together students, families, educators, and benefactors in recognition of the achievements that define BHUSD’s mission of “Educational Excellence.” More than just a ceremony, Scholarship Night serves as a powerful reminder that academic success is not only earned—it is supported by a community that believes in its young people.
“Scholarship Night reflects the very best of BHUSD,” said Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss. “Our seniors have worked incredibly hard, and the generous support of our donors reminds them, and all of us, that they don’t walk this path alone.”
Dr. Cherniss presented two of the evening’s highest honors:

The Student Board Member Award of Distinction, awarded to Remy Javidzad, recognizing his dedicated service and leadership as the student voice on the Board.

The Superintendent’s Character Award, presented to Jurnee Burrell-Williams, honoring her resilience, integrity, and positive impact on the BHHS community.

Throughout the evening, scholarships were awarded based on academic merit, leadership, community service, and personal character—qualities that define the graduating class and uphold the values BHUSD strives to instill in every student.

Beyond the awards, the event served as a tribute to the partnerships that make student success possible. From local foundations and civic groups to alumni families and individual donors, the support showcased the deep ties between Beverly Hills and its schools.

As BHUSD prepares to bid farewell to the Class of 2025, Scholarship Night stands as both a milestone and a message: when a community comes together to invest in its youth, the impact reaches far beyond graduation.
