Beverly Hills High School junior Cleo Paul will attend Stanford University, where she plans to major in political science, continuing a high school career marked by academic rigor and civic leadership.

Beverly Hills High School announced this week that Cleo Paul, a member of the Class of 2026, has committed to attend Stanford University, where she will study political science.

Paul’s acceptance comes as part of the school’s ongoing College Decisions Series and reflects a high school career defined by academic achievement, leadership, and sustained public service.

Her path through the Beverly Hills Unified School District began in kindergarten at Beverly Vista and continued through BHHS, where she completed an advanced academic program that included multiple Advanced Placement courses and the highest level of French offered on campus. In addition to her academic workload, Paul competed on the varsity track team, balancing athletics with scholarship.

Outside the classroom, Paul distinguished herself through extensive civic engagement. She spent seven years serving on the City of Beverly Hills Teen Advisory Committee, where she worked with city leaders on issues affecting local youth. She also served on Congressman Ted Lieu’s Youth Advisory Council, gaining firsthand exposure to public policy and legislative processes.

At Beverly Hills High School, Paul founded and led the Youth Political Activism Club, creating a forum for students to engage in thoughtful discussion around public issues and civic participation.

BHHS Principal Loan Srirkasa praised Paul’s leadership and commitment to service.

“Cleo exemplifies intellectual curiosity, leadership, and a genuine commitment to community,” Srirkasa said. “She leads with purpose and integrity, and we are confident she will make a meaningful impact at Stanford and beyond.”

As she prepares for the next chapter of her education, Paul leaves Beverly Hills High School with a record of achievement that reflects the school’s emphasis on scholarship, service, and leadership.
