Roger Tanenbaum

Hi, I'm Roger Tanenbaum. My family has been engaged in Beverly Hills civic life for nearly 80 years. I'm proud to represent the third generation. Our city has shaped my values of community, responsibility, and integrity. Of pivotal importance is preserving the delicate balance between commercial development and residential quality of life. Public safety is government's first responsibility. I will vigilantly guard our police, fire, and schools - institutions that safeguard our families. My leadership is grounded in civility and accountability. Embracing these values contributes to better collaboration, understanding and problem solving. I'm independent in judgment and respectful in action. I hold a BBA degree from Loyola Marymount University and a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine. My professional background includes managing the literary career of my father, author Robert K. Tanenbaum where I oversaw public relations, speaking engagements, scheduling, property management, and fiscal operations. These experiences prepare me for thoughtful, forward-thinking decision-making to best serve our entire community. We face real challenges – including budget pressures, housing mandates, public safety concerns, aging infrastructure and rising intolerance.
