Dela Peykar Ronen

My name is Dela Peykar Ronen, and I am a proud alumna of the Beverly Hills Unified School District. As an experienced estate planning attorney, I understand the importance of fiduciary responsibility and financial stewardship—essential qualities for guiding our district's governance effectively. I will bring to the board a wealth of knowledge and a recommitment to excellence in education. Over the past year, my involvement with the Beverly Hills Education Foundation has further ignited my passion to aid in the success of our district, schools, and community. Together with the BHEF Board leadership team, I worked to reintroduce the Foundation to our community, securing critical resources to support our educational initiatives. This experience has shown me the importance of working together to achieve common goals. I am deeply passionate about ensuring every student in our district receives a top-tier education. Excellence in education is my guiding principle and reflects my commitment to fostering an environment where academic achievement is the cornerstone. As an alumna of Hawthorne Elementary and Beverly Hills High, I have experienced firsthand the exceptional education our district offers. Now, as a parent of three young girls, with my eldest starting first grade at El Rodeo, I am dedicated to preserving and enhancing this legacy. As a member of the BHUSD Board, I will focus on maintaining and improving our academic programs. I believe that by supporting innovative teaching methods and comprehensive educational programs, we can cater to the diverse needs of all students. I will ensure that we prioritize the core values of academic excellence and student well-being. I will advocate for the completion of the renovations at Beverly Hills High School, emphasizing the importance of meeting deadlines and maintaining transparency. I will work to enhance communication between the board, educators, parents, and the community to build trust and ensure everyone's voice is heard. I will also prioritize mental health resources and support services for our students, recognizing that a well-rounded education includes emotional and psychological well-being.
