  1. Open the app to the welcome flow.

Email Login

  • Enter your email and password on the login page.
  • If credentials are valid, you are signed in immediately.

Forgot Password

  • Tap Forgot your password? from login.
  • Submit your email to receive a password reset link/code (depending on current template flow).
  • Complete reset and return to login.

Create Account

  • Provide first name, last name, email, and a secure password.
  • Password rules are enforced during registration (length and complexity checks).

How Social Login/Registration Works

  • If social provider email matches an existing account, your social provider is linked to that account.
  • If the provider email does not match an existing account, a new account may be created.
  • Linked provider management is available later in Settings.

3) Phone Verification and SMS

  • SMS notifications require a verified phone number.
  • You can add a phone number in notification preferences, then enter the verification code sent by SMS.
  • If code delivery fails, use Resend Verification Code.
  • You can change the phone number later; SMS toggles remain limited until verification is complete.

Home Feed and Article Discovery

  • Browse latest stories and tap any post card for full details.
  • Tap author, category, or tag to drill into related content.

Inside an Article

  • Read article body, view images/media, and open outbound links where available.
  • Like, bookmark, and share from the article interface.
  • Open comments to post replies or interact with discussions.

Search

  • Use search to find posts, topics, and users quickly.
  • Search results update as you type.

Notifications and Messaging

  • Push notifications can deep-link directly to post, comment, or message context.
  • Messaging access and capabilities can vary based on verification/subscription status rules.
  • Message requests are separated so you can review new inbound conversations safely.

6) Subscription and Billing Help

  • Subscription purchase and renewal are handled through Apple In-App Purchase.
  • Use Restore Purchases if you already paid on this Apple ID.
  • Use subscription account controls to view status and available actions.
  • Manage/cancel billing in Apple subscription settings.
  • If you cancel, premium access generally remains until the end of your current billing period.
  • If you reactivate, status sync may take a short time and then refresh in app.

Report or Block a User

  1. Open the user profile from a post, comment, or message surface.
  2. Use the profile actions menu.
  3. Choose Report User or Block User.
  4. Submit reason/details as prompted.

Report a Message

  1. Open the conversation.
  2. Open message options and choose report.
  3. Select reason and submit optional details.

Moderation Outcome

  • Reports are reviewed by moderation/trust workflows.
  • Actions may include warnings, content removal, or account restrictions.
  • Repeated abuse can lead to escalated enforcement.

8) Privacy, Public Information, and Age Suitability

Public Profile Safety (Bio/Account Context)

  • Information you publish in profile or public activity surfaces can be visible to other users.
  • Do not post sensitive personal information (home address, private contact details, financial info, IDs).
  • Use caution when sharing links or identity-related details publicly.

Tracking and Ads

  • Tracking permission on iOS controls personalized ad support only.
  • You can change this in iOS Settings for the app, and app settings include guidance.

Age and Content Standards

  • Users must meet age requirements described in Terms and Age Suitability policies.
  • Harassment, threats, and harmful abuse are not permitted.
  • Keep interactions respectful; repeated violations may result in account action.

9) Deleting Your Account

  • Use Settings → Account → Delete Account.
  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • If an active paid subscription exists, the app shows additional confirmation before final deletion.
  • After deletion, you may lose access to account history and linked features.

I cannot log in

  • Double-check email/password and use reset password if needed.
  • If using social login, confirm you are using the same provider/email expected for that account.

I am not receiving notifications

  • Check iOS system notification permissions for the app.
  • Check in-app notification preferences (email/SMS/push related options).
  • Verify phone number for SMS alerts.

Subscription status looks wrong

  • Use Restore Purchases.
  • Open subscription account screen and refresh status.
  • Allow a short delay for backend sync after Apple purchase changes.

App performance issues

  • Use clear cache from settings for local temporary data cleanup.
  • Update to latest app version and retry on stable connection.
  • If issue persists, use Report a Problem with diagnostics enabled.

Why did I get a verification email?

Verification emails confirm account ownership and help secure your account. You may see these during new registration, email change, or certain security-triggered flows.

I changed my email. Why do I need to confirm again?

When your account email changes, reconfirmation is required so account recovery and security notifications go to a verified address.

What is a suspicious login alert?

The system may flag unusual login context (for example, a significantly different location or risk signal) and require additional checks to protect your account.

I used social login and now cannot find my original account.

This usually means the provider returned a different email than your original account email. Sign in with your original method first, then link providers in Settings.

Can I turn off all notifications?

Yes. Disable them in app preferences and/or iOS system settings. For SMS, remove or disable verified phone notification options.

Why are some settings hidden?

Certain options are role-based (admin/news-admin testing and controls) and are not shown to standard users.

How do I stop seeing messages from someone?

Block the user from their profile or report abusive behavior. Blocking prevents further interaction from that account in supported surfaces.

How does account deletion affect subscription?

Deletion is permanent. If a paid plan is active, the app presents extra warning/confirmation. Manage subscription billing with Apple settings as needed.
