The Israeli-American Civic Action Network has endorsed Judy Manouchehri for reelection and David Cienfuegos for election to the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education in the November 3 election.
In its September 10 statement, ICAN cited Board President Manouchehri's support for district resolutions backing Israel and addressing antisemitism, including educational provisions covering Holocaust remembrance, Jewish history and October 7 remembrance.
The organization also highlighted the district's adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's working definition of antisemitism for educational and professional development purposes, subject to constitutional protections.
For Cienfuegos, whom ICAN identified as a trial attorney and father of three BHUSD students, the organization emphasized stronger academic instruction, earlier assistance for struggling students and opportunities for advanced learning.
ICAN also cited his support for coordination with local law enforcement and transparency in curriculum, spending and board decisions.
"ICAN encourages voters to reelect Judith Manouchehri and elect David Cienfuegos on November 3."
