Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, mobile applications, subscriptions, newsletters, events, community features, messaging tools, and related products and services operated by Beverly Hills Standard ("we," "us," or "our") (collectively, the "Services").

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies, rules, or terms that apply to specific features. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Services.
2. Eligibility
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use interactive features that require user registration. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are legally permitted to do so and that your use complies with applicable law.
3. User Accounts
Certain features require a registered account. If you create an account:
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and to keep it updated
- You may not sell, transfer, lend, or share your account except as expressly permitted by us
- You may not impersonate another person, create misleading identities, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose security or legal risk, or are used in a misleading, abusive, or fraudulent manner.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
All content made available through the Services, including articles, headlines, graphics, logos, video, audio, photography, design elements, data compilations, and software, is owned by us, our licensors, or our content providers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
- We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms
- You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, frame, scrape, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Services except as permitted by law or with our prior written permission
- Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you
5. User Content, Comments, and Community Features
If you submit or post comments, reactions, messages, images, event information, or other content through the Services ("User Content"), you retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt, publish, moderate, and otherwise use that User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Services.
You are solely responsible for User Content that you submit. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit it and that it does not violate law or the rights of any third party.
Community features are intended to support civil discussion. We may, but are not obligated to, review, moderate, remove, restrict, or disable User Content or accounts in our discretion, including where content appears unlawful, abusive, misleading, harassing, defamatory, obscene, infringing, spammy, unsafe, or otherwise inconsistent with our editorial or community standards.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Harass, threaten, dox, exploit, impersonate, or defame any person or entity
- Upload malware, harmful code, or material intended to disrupt or impair the Services
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or networks
- Post spam, scams, misinformation presented as fact, or fraudulent or deceptive material
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights
- Collect user information without authorization or use the Services for unlawful surveillance, scraping, or commercial exploitation
- Interfere with the security, stability, or proper functioning of the Services
We may investigate violations and take any action we believe is appropriate, including removing content, limiting feature access, reporting conduct to relevant parties, and suspending or terminating accounts.
7. Editorial Content, Advertising, and Sponsored Material
The Services may include editorial reporting, opinion, user-generated content, sponsored content, affiliate links, advertisements, and other commercial material. Sponsored or paid promotional material will be identified in a manner we consider appropriate. Advertising relationships do not give advertisers editorial control over our journalism.
8. Subscriptions & Paid Services
If you subscribe to any paid feature or service, you agree to provide current and accurate billing information and to pay all fees, taxes, and charges associated with your subscription. Paid offerings may be sold through Stripe, Apple In-App Purchase, or other payment providers, each of which may apply its own checkout, renewal, cancellation, refund, and billing rules.
- Auto-renewal: recurring subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in accordance with the applicable provider's terms
- Managing Stripe subscriptions: Stripe-managed subscriptions may generally be canceled before the next renewal date and, where supported, reactivated before the current billing period ends
- Managing Apple subscriptions: Apple-managed subscriptions must be managed through your Apple account settings and are subject to Apple's rules
- Account deletion and paid access: if you request account deletion while a paid subscription is active, you authorize us to close the account and end access associated with that account, subject to the billing provider's rules
- Refunds: except where required by law or expressly stated by the applicable billing provider, fees are non-refundable
9. Account Closure and Feature Availability
You may stop using the Services at any time. Where account deletion tools are available, you may request deletion through those tools or by contacting us. We may preserve certain information as described in our Privacy Policy, including for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup integrity, and enforcement purposes.
We may change, suspend, remove, or discontinue any feature, section, product, or functionality of the Services at any time, with or without notice.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. We do not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Any content will always be complete, accurate, current, or available
- The Services or servers will be free of viruses or other harmful components
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, licensors, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where the law does not allow certain limitations, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Beverly Hills Standard, its affiliates, licensors, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised version will become effective when posted, unless otherwise stated. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as by email to registered users or through in-app or on-site notices. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Except where prohibited by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
