208 Rodeo Restaurant, a longtime fine-dining fixture on Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive, has announced it will close after 35 years in operation, citing an unresolved dispute with its landlord that has made it impossible to continue operating at its current location.
The owners said the decision follows an ongoing disagreement over the tenancy that has left the restaurant unable to move forward at the iconic address. The restaurant will cease operations at the Rodeo Drive location, though no specific closing date or relocation plans were immediately announced.
For decades, 208 Rodeo has been a familiar presence in the city’s luxury retail corridor, serving as a gathering place for residents, visitors, and generations of diners. The restaurant became known as a setting for milestone moments, including birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and engagements.
The owners expressed gratitude to guests and staff who helped shape the restaurant’s legacy, describing the business as more than a dining room, but a place where memories were made over many years. Employees and longtime patrons shared similar sentiments, reflecting on the role the restaurant played in the fabric of Rodeo Drive.
The closure marks another change along one of Beverly Hills’ most recognizable streets, where retail and dining have continued to evolve in recent years.
