Mayor Craig Corman’s community outreach program brings discussions into homes and businesses, giving residents a chance to ask questions and share concerns in an informal setting.

Beverly Hills is inviting residents and businesses to host the next Mayor's Circuit, bringing Mayor Craig Corman into neighborhood settings for direct conversations about the issues that matter to the community.

In a recent social media announcement, the city encouraged prospective hosts to offer a home or business for the gatherings, which center on questions, ideas and concerns in a casual setting. The city's program description emphasizes "honest, unscripted conversation" between Corman and community members.

The initiative grew out of a commitment Corman made in his inaugural address after taking office as mayor in April. Acknowledging that city meetings do not reach everyone, he proposed meeting groups of neighbors at their homes at mutually convenient times to discuss subjects they wanted to raise.

The program's name reflects that approach. In his address, Corman referenced judges who traveled between communities to hear cases, a practice known as riding the circuit, as the inspiration for taking his own conversations with residents beyond City Hall.

The first gathering took place in July at the law offices of Ervin, Cohen & Jessup LLP in Beverly Hills, where attendees had an opportunity to ask questions, offer ideas and discuss community concerns. That opening event put the program's approach into practice in a local workplace.

For prospective hosts, the city's latest invitation offers a way to bring that discussion to their own home or business. The announcement describes an open forum built around conversation, with participants helping shape the discussion through the questions and concerns they bring.
